Semi Colin
in august of 2012, filmmaker Damien Lay flew out to LA to do the online, VFX, final master, and even the score for his feature-length arthouse documentary "Semi Colin" with me.
the piece is particularly moody and very unique, and it was quite a bit of fun to work on. Damien arrived in the US with the offline edit completed. we transitioned the project from FCP to adobe premiere for online and VFX work (to make the round-tripping to after effects a bit easier to manage.) i was responsible for denoising, some minor set extension, prepping the completed comps to be sent to ZuZu in Shanghai for colour correction (by the very talented Nick Barton,) final master creation, credits, and delivery via DVD, Blu-Ray and digital file formats.
i also scored the entire film over the course of about two weeks, writing original piano pieces with a variety of themes. you can download the score for free on bandcamp:
